Why do people keep coming back to Masuki?
Well, it's no wonder why people keep coming back to this famous Mami House, including me because it's delicious and worth your money for their food here. A little background, Masuki Mami House was established in the 1930s. People say the restaurant keeps serving its original mami as the years go by.

Mami was brought in by Ma Mon Luk (马文禄), an elementary teacher from Guangzhou, China, who emigrated to the Philippines in 1918. Arriving penniless, he peddled chicken noodle soup around the city. It became a hit as the locals loved the hot noodles made from eggs, and in the 1930s, he established a noodle parlor in Binondo that bears his name. The restaurant was changed to Makong, then later, Masuki. The word “mami” was derived from Ma (马), his surname, and Mian (麵) or Mi in Fookienese, meaning noodles.
