An Adventurous gateway to Mt. Pico de Loro and Boracay de Cavite.
Bakit nga pala Mt. Pico de Loro? Base sa pinoymountaineer.com, noong spanish colonization ay may mga espanyol na naglalayag patungong Manila Bay nang mapansin nila ang hugis parrot na bundok na matatagpuan sa Cavite.
Sa adventure na ito, muli kong nakasama sina Dave at Louie na nakasama ko na din sa mga nakaraaang pagpanik at lakwatsa. Sa GMA Network Center ang aming naging meet-up place bago kami magtungong Bus Terminal sa Coastal. Ganap na 3:38 AM nang kami ay makarating sa nasabing terminal at napag-alaman namin na ang first trip palang biyahe patungong Ternate ay 4:00 AM pa. Ngunit mukhang pinapaburan na agad kami nang panahon at magandang sensyales sapagkat may isang mabait na bus driver na pumayag na mag-biyahe na sila hanggang Ternate para makasakay at makaalis na agad kami. Ganap na 4:07 AM nang umalis ang bus na aming sinakyan patungong Ternate. Matapos ang mahigit isang oras na biyahe ay nakarating kami nang maayos sa Ternate, mula dito ay namili muna kami ng mga pagkain at inumin para sa aming adventure. Upang makarating sa DENR o Jump-off ay kinakailangan sumakay ng tricycle kung tamang commute lang ang inyong gagawin. Para naman sa mga may sasakyan, maaari kayong mag-park sa loob ng DENR sa halagang Php 50.00. Ganap na 6:00 AM nang kami ay makarating sa DENR na nagsisilbing jump-off matapos kamakailan na isara ang old trail nito, sayang hindi ko man lang nasilayan at naranasan ang old trail ng Mt. Pico de Loro at maging ang sidetrip na waterfall na matatagpuan dito. Bago kami magsimula sa totoong adventure ay nagpa-rehistro muna kami sa halagang Php 25.00 at tsinek ang aming mga dalang gamit kung nadala ba namin ang mga dapat dalhin. Ganap na 6:15 AM nang kami ay magsimulang mag-hike. Wait for us Parrot's Beak!
Sana mapanatili ang kaayusan ng bundok at sana maayos na suportahan ito nang ating gobyerno. Nag-enjoy talaga ako (kami) sa day hike adventure. Pakiramdam ko na-relax ako kahit papaano dahil sa napakagandang mga tanawin talaga na nasaksihan ko mula sa summit at monolith nito. Pansamantala ulit nakatakas sa ingay at gulo ng lungsod. Sulit ang lakwatsa. More mountains to climb. More places to visit. More memories to be captured and treasured.
